Your opportunity The General Manager will be in charge of defining and executing short and long-term strategies and action plans for POMELLATO CHINA within corporate international guidelines. How you will contribute Business Development & Sales Goals • Responsible for identifying and proposing new business development opportunities to grow the China market according to the Strategic plan • Define and execute annual retail Budget and Forecasted Sales goals • Develop e-channel business and support growth and awareness • Provide analysis of macro China business trends and regular feedback of luxury retail competitive tracking • Responsible for supporting preparation of boutique openings, renovations including coordination, staffing and follow up • Maintain strong relationships with landlords to ensure long-term development • Ensure optimizing the inventory levels and managing the needs to develop growing business • CRM: Recruit, Retain and Recognition as primary objectives to increase our customer database to support our business growth Brand / Store Image • Ensure Boutique image aligned with corporate guidelines; including staff grooming • Ensure exemplary service for the best customer experience Marketing & Communication • Implement the Strategic marketing roadmap to build Brand awareness in China • Implement and execute the Marketing and PR and Retail events Calendar defined with Regional and HQ teams • Develop strong local PR relationships with Press, KOLs for all relevant communication channels P&L and Cashflow Management & Operations • Participate in strategic development plans of the brand • Prepare budget and forecast plans including sales plans, operating budgets, staffing plan and capital expenditures • Anticipate the needs of the structure on both people and infrastructure to support the growth of the brand • Ensure that all operating units conform with local and national statutory laws and regulations as well as adhering to corporate Brand policies • Provide KPI analysis to ensure performance monitoring, tracking and improvement Organization - Leadership • Build an effective structure, aligned, empowered and accountable China Team • Inspire and increase motivation and develop key talents within the team • Setting individual and team goals to meet Brand objectives • Provide leadership to the team to ensure that the financial targets are met while ensuring core values of high ethical standards but also entrepreneurship to support growth of the Brand • Implement group and brand HR policies to ensure employee development Team management: • Boutique Manager (s) – currently 6 Boutiques and growing • Head of Marketing (Marketing and Communications) • Retail Excellence Manager • Operations Manager • Merchandising & VM Manager (dotted line APAC responsibility) Who you are Experience, business and skills • Bachelor degree in business or equivalent ( MBA preferred) • Minimum 10-15 years relevant experience in luxury retail management (Fine Jewelry, Fashion or Watches)of which 10 years in China • Strong business mindset and highly sensitive to figures • Good management and excellent interpersonal skills, problem solving-oriented with a pro-active and flexible approach • Possess good communication and strong analytical skill • Well organized, self-motivated as well as a good team player • Good command of both spoken and written English and Mandarin • Frequent travel is required
