Your Opportunity:

An exciting new opportunity has opened to support the Senior Graphic Designer for McQ as a Graduate Trainee.  The role will provide a solid foundation for a career in Graphic Design within a contemporary brand, suitable for a candidate who has a strong desire to learn and excellent, creativity and sensitivity.

How you will contribute:

Digital Marketing & E-Commerce

·         Attending regular meetings with Digital Marketing, E-Commerce and Merchandising  to support in preparing stories and assets for the social/marketing calendar

·         Assist in developing assets to post on all marketing channels, maintaining the calendar to ensure alignment and transparency across teams and update assets as required once approved

·         Support in formatting artworks/ assets, cropping & delivering to the Marketing and E-Commerce teams (including social posts for all channels, home pages, newsletters, blog)

·         Assist in developing assets for the McQ Franchisees, Wholesale accounts and E-Commerce

·         Supply designs for any changes/ redesigns on the website

·         Resizing and supplying seasonal assets to press (lookbooks etc)


Shoots & asset development

·         Assist with all creative projects, across both pre and post-production

·         Working closely with Merchandising, E-Commerce and Sales to assist in developing specification lists

·         Attending and assisting on shoots (travel might be required)

·         Preparing pre-edits and presentations for post shoot edit meetings

·         Support in building presentations for brand assets to secure approval



·         Support with the research and development

·         Assisting with preparing artwork for showroom installations

·         Provide assistance on retouching & creating of pdf lookbooks for the showroom


Stores & Franchise partners

·         Assist in developing designs/ artwork for all in-store lightboxes (McQ stores and franchise partners)

·         Assist with the development of window displays and concepts

·         Support in providing support to accounts relating to ‘pop ups’/spaces

·         Support for press days as required



·         Researching, proposing ideas and designing /artworking packaging

Your Skills and Experience:

·         Degree in a related subject

·         Solid research experience (imagery, concepts, industry professionals etc.)

·         Experience and strong understanding of the contemporary/luxury fashion industry

·         Good knowledge of the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)

·         Strong ability to work at pace, whilst maintaining an exceptional level of attention to detail

·         Demonstrate an agile approach to work

·         Effective verbal and written communication skills

·         Flexible and able to travel as part of the role
